Today there is an exclusive report in the Powys County Times an exclusive report by Richard Jones news@coountytimes.co.uk whether there it's allien activity or natural phenomena as the reports of UFOs have flooded in this summer from across the county. In his very intriguing report, Richard has interviewed people who have also taken photos of what they have witnessed. Whatever the explanation, experts agree that the number of suspected flying saucers has hit unusual highs this summer. Phillip Hoyle, of the UFO Investigation and Research Unit in Shrewsbury, has enjoyed a busy and exciting summer visiting people who have reported sightings of Unidentified Flying Objects.
In an exclusive interview with the County Times, he revealed "There seems to be a concentration of orange sphere reports around the Newtown and the LLansanffraid area, many witnesses are reporting seeing orange spheres in particular over hill farms around Newtown. Other witnesses are describing not spheres but cigar shaped craft with lights or windows along the side. He said, " I met up with Frederick Kershaw, who was driving from Llanfyllin to Llansanffraid when he saw a cigar shaped craft flying very low over his car. "
" A similar shaped craft was also seen just above tree top level and was described as looking like an iluminated railway carriage in size and sighted just outside Knighton." "What is also very interesting is that farmers in these areas are observing odd lights in the sky at night above their farms and bizarrely discovering the next day their animals dead."
"What is going on, is there a connection to these strange animal deaths and the unconventional lights in the sky ? Kay Jones, who lives on the outskirts of Welshpool, saw three spheres appear in succession at 10.45p.m. on Saturday night, but unlike the Newtown sightings, they were not orange, but an incredible shade of vivid green. The lights seem to pulsate and were almost in the bedroom with her. She told me how it left her too shaken to move for a few minutes, and when she looked at her bedside clock, it appeared to have lost an hour." "Since that experience, Kay has had a persisitent headache on one side of her temple, which she is unable to get rid of. "
"At 11p.m. on Sunday July 12, Susan Blake of Bettws Cedewain, told me how she witnessed a large shining bright light approach her house, and as it got closer she could clearly see a disk shaped object with a dome on top. She said, it appeared to land hehind trees, and it was silent, definitely not a helicopter. I have checked with RAF Shawbury and Nesscliffe and they had no known operation flights at that time."
"Emma Richards, of Trehafren, Newtown, observed orange spheres in groups of three, which then tripled in size and became translucent. They then shot through the sky and disappeared above a field by her house. Her husband also sighted three similar orange spheres while driving on the A 470 over the Brecon Beacons between Builth Wells and Rhayader and managed to take photos of them. " By examining these reports for colorations, sometimes it's possible to create a projected flight path of the spheres and many reports that the Brecon Beacons are a hot spot activity and even might be the origin of of some of the orange spheres. "
"On May 28, another person I have met up with, James Hall, was travelling back from Dolanog towards Llanfair Caereinion with his daughter. It was 11p.m. when they came across three orange lights hovering in the sky, two of the lights moved off very fast and disappeared, the other light was left just zig-zagging. Further afield, Ian Hawkins was camping late May at Shell Island when he sighted three orange spheres coming over the sea towards him, they were totally silent before two of the three spheres ascended into the clouds. "
"Another witness, Mr. Ian Welch, from Bala, North Wales, claims he has been in contact with beings not of this world and has many high quality photographs depicting totally unconventional aerial craft. The message related to this encounter witnessed by the occupants of these crafts is very clear and profound, mankind must stop its relentless pursuit of material gain and its favourite past time of tribal warfare, and work for the unification of all nations and work in harmony with the planet and its life forms."
"Also, at Bala a Breakdown Mechanic, Andy Carter, was travelling alongside Bala Lake, en-route to a stranded vehicle. His attention was drawn to a bright orange light, irregular in shape, and resembled something in flames or burning. Many people are still of the belief that all these orange spheres are no more than chinese lanterns but if they are lanterns they must be built by NASA, as many do not conform to any conventional type of aircraft and display intelligent control and advanced technology "
The newspaper then appeals that as more and more sightings are being reported, a picture is developing indicating areas where the UFO activity is concentrated, if any reader would like to report their own sightings contact Phil Hoyle by e-mail at phil.hoyle@yahoo.co.uk or by phoning 01743- 245574.

That's interesting. Of course, we must be careful that there is no normal explanation for these phenomena, e.g. the cigar shaped objects could conceivably have been airships. I sometomes see lights against a cloud background at night. I think it's lights from traffic half a mile away reflected against the clouds.
Neverteless, this kind of thing is always interesting. Is there an alien Captain Kirk up there?
Robert,
The RAF always publishes the days they will be doing low flights, even next to this article in question, there is an announcement of low flying training over Wales in Ausgust. You see, on the days that these things happened there were no flights. It's not only one person who is reporting it but several persons from different places in Wales.
On the one hand it might be nice to imagine alien beings engaging in inrerstellar travel - it would show that we will one day be able to do it.
On the other hand, as they will be much more advanced than us, one hopes they won't destroy us - just the MPs.
Hello Maria and Robert,
the new picture of you Maria is great .. very attractive, it is nice to have an idea of what you look like.
Very interesting re these alien sightings, I tend to believe that there has been too much evidence over time, for there not to be something in all of it.
Obviously some people are wrong or delusional .. and some sightings would have a natural explanation.
But I would not dismiss it entirely.
Hi Victoria and welcome back.
Yes, that's a nice pic of Maria. But I don't understand why she looks different every time she puts a pic up.
Anyway, I've an open mind on this sort of thing. It's one of those things like ghosts - the sheer number of reported sightings by apparently sane, honest people is food for thought.
Hi Victoria ! Welcome back !
Thank you for the nice compliments to both of you.
Yes, I think the same as you about the UFO Victoria that this keeps being reported over the years. I must post the different photos that people have described. These look like a fire or bright orange glow. Robert, I don't know what you mean about me looking different, maybe I'm a chameleon !
I think that all this UFO's it has something to do either with the atmosphere or some military experiment they are doing around here. Since this is the area where they practice low flying but there was no low flying scheduled on the days of the aparitions. The next schedule for low flying will be in August 10th from noon to 1 p.m. and every day in August until the 28th,they will all be at the same time.
We did have a weird experience in California some 17 years ago. Right in the middle of the night, Hector our son came rushing to our bedroom to tell us to come and see this. We ran to his bedroom which led to the garden. there was light as daylight, we went out the garden and by then, it was over the whole house, there was this blinding day-light, it wasn't anything like I have seen before. In the middle of the night. There was also a sort of irregular zooming. Then suddenly it all stopped. We all went to bed, and that was it.
My own cousin told a story of how as a child he woke in the night and saw a craft hovering over his bedroom window, casting a bright light.
Sadly I have never seen a UFO or a ghost, though I have experienced curious coincidences.
Sometimes one hears it said that the US, UK and other governments know that we are being watched, but are keeping it secret so as not to panic the public. The only thing about that is, the idea of the UK government being ABLE to keep something secret for decades seems a bit hard to swallow. They still haven't found the discs they lost in the post.
Robert,
Military secrets the government keeps really well through the Official Secret Acts. The discs being lost, doesn't it seem funny to you that the British government is sharing OUR private details with the U.S. government, since they were lost in the U.S. Others were "lost" here. I have my suspicions that these are not lost and that someone is squirreling this information for their own motives.
Also, when we live in California, there was a place called: Topanga Canyon. We read it in the newspaper and sure enough, there were these flashes of orange lights just like the ones described here. Among the people at the Canyon were a few neighbours of ours who told us they always go to see it.
Robert .. yes I know what you mean about looking different in every picture, I think it is like that for most of us.
Maria that really does sound like an unusual incident whilst you were in California.
Like Robert I have 'sadly' ..or maybe it is fortunately never seen a ghost or had an alien encounter.
I have a cousin who saw a ghost wearing victorian clothing watching over his sisters baby in his cot about a week before the baby drowned in the family swimming pool.
And a friend of mine in Queensland living in an old house has a ghost .. again, a woman in old fashioned clothing .. she has had a few sightings over the years of the same ghost and is not frightened by it. When the ghost has seen her looking at her (the ghost) .. she vanishes.
I once read one of those books by Whitley Strieber called 'Communion' about his encounters with Aliens .. certainly food for thought, he is apparently sane and honest.
Victoria & Robert,
I see now what you mean about looking different in each photo. Well on my birthday I had my hair style shorter than I have it now, plus I was wearing a dark eye shadow. On this last picture, you see here, I was not wearing any make-up. I had no time to wear any.
Victoria, that is really very curious about those ghosts. Fascinating I would say. I had a poltergeist in this house we are living in. Five years ago, for Christmas I was ready to go waiting for Peter, as I was a bit bored sitting on the sofa waiting for him to finish getting ready, I went over to another room just to check if my make-up looked okay, on my way there, I left my small black party hand-bag hanging from one of the chairs of our dinning room, but when I came back, it was gone ! I thought maybe it had fallen down on the floor, but nothing, it vanished. I was a bit angry because when Peter came down the stairs and ready to leave, he found me looking for the hand-bag crouching on the floor. We looked around too, but nothing. I left without the small party hand-bag. It only contained a red lipstick, and when we returned home, we found a circle just beneath where I had left the hand-bag hanging from the chair, the circle was made out of small round lead metal ball bearings ! on the floor, it was on the spot where the hand-bag had been hanging from the chair. I told this story to a very lovely lady I met in one of my trips. She told me to say a prayer on that very spot, in the name of Jesus Christ and ask the spirit to leave my home. As an experiment I did exactly what she told me and incredibly, things do not disappear into thin air anymore. The hand-bag, was the first of many things that have disappeared without a trace in this house. The house now feels mine.
Hi Victoria and Maria
All these stories are very interesting. The difficulty with convincing sceptics is, if something happens to someone when they're alone, then the sceptics say there's no proof. But if it happens to a group of people, they say it's mass hysteria.
I suppose there are at least three different possible explanations :
1. Ordinary physical explanations, as yet not properly understood.
2. Psychical explanations.
3. Psychical explanations of an unexpected kind, e.g. I have seen it suggested that when a medium gives a client accurate information about a deceased relative, the medium is actually getting info by reading the client's mind, i.e. via telepathy. I guess the way to test that would be to send an independent person who never knew the deceased, who could report back to the relative on what the medium said.
I wonder whether the Mr Hoyle mentioned above is related to Fred Hoyle the famous astronomer. I think Fred Hoyle advanced the argument that if there were visits from more advanced alien civilisations, they'd have colonised us by now. So he said either there is no life elsewhere, or for some reason travel across the vast interstellar distances isn't possible, or maybe every civilisation ends up destroying itself before it can make the trip.
Hi Robert & Victoria,
Well, I do not know whether this Mr. Hoyle is related to Fred Hoyle or not. But it his e-mail address appears at the end of this front page article. Perhaps I will e-mail him and ask him; because two nights ago, there were airplanes flying at midnight so I went out to see them fly and I could see a small red light darting in zig-zag in the sky, which seemed to me that it was travelling faster than the plane behind it. If you look at the photo, it looks like a big flash to me, then these lights simply vanish. I think is some sort of natural phenomena, but because it doesn't last too long, and its rare, scientists do not know what it is. But it does exist.
There are various strange forms of lightning. It doesn't sound like that, though.
Hello Maria and Robert,
Robert you said,
1. Ordinary physical explanations, as yet not properly understood.
2. Psychical explanations.
This reminded me of what is said in regards to say .. the miracles of Jesus, walking on water etc, and Eastern sages or Holy men that can apparently walk through walls, dematerialize somewhere and re-appear somewhere else.
It is said that if you were at the same level of being/understanding as these men .. on that plane, looking from where they are, it is just normal and totally understandable. They understand the finer, more subtle laws of the universe.
A gross example of this would be when early explorers amazed and frightened primitive men with mirrors and radio type things.
In the same way I feel many 'true' alien things could be explained.
Hello Victoria, Robert
Victoria, this is true that there are natural things that have not been properly explained, equally, the aborigenes from Australia have the boomerag ! I find it quite amazing that you can throw it and come back. Maybe this aerodynamic principle will be used for space exploration. Although by the time it comes back, the earth would have move some light years away.
When I was in Chile, I saw red stars which we were told had already died, they were no longer there but we could still see them because it take 30 light years for the light to travel to our planet but if we were to travel there, that star no longer existed. In other words, it was like looking at a ghost !
Hi Victoria and Maria
Victoria, I can accept that there may be alien civilisations out there possessing scientific knowledge vastly superior to our own. Indeed, if they've got as far as visting us, then it must be so.
However, I have difficulty with the idea that people like Jesus understood the finer laws. I'd find it easier to accept that, if such people displayed any knowledge of the ordinary laws. For instance, there are no reports of Jesus saying something like "Look at that star. That's X billion light years away" or "Look at this rock. It was formed X million years ago and is made of A, B and C."
Maria, yes, some of the stars we see no longer exist. Also, sometimes there will be a "new" and very bright star in the sky. This is a supernova - a star that's blown up. Without such supernovae we could not exist.
Robert,
yes, I can see how it seems odd when you place Jesus or Holy men in the same vein as Aliens.
I mean't my comment meaning that they understand the workings of this universe at a different level than we can.
There are three worlds that we live in.. the gross or physical world, the subtle or mental world and the causal world. They all exist at once .. we are lucky if we see properly what is going on in the physical world .. with only glimpses of the subtle world.
On top of that we project our thoughts, ideas and desires onto every situation, so we see 'through a glass darkly'.
Everything that happens has it's origins in the causal world .. this is the basis of the law of karma, or 'as ye sow, so shall ye reap'.
A true spiritual master of who there are very few, can see and operate in the causal world which holds the laws of the universe ..
They (Buddha, etc) also operate in, and for the time and place in which they are incarnated. So it seems understandable to me that Jesus would not be talking about rocks, stars and aliens .. his mission and other holy men was to lead men beyond the physical world.
Maria, when you come here no doubt on a tour you will try boomerang throwing .. it is not easy, need to get the knack of it.
I don't think I have seen a red star .. that would have been unusual, but I love the night sky, looking at the moon especially, and the stars.
Hi Victoria, Robert
Yes, it was a really wonderful experience to see the red stars or ghosts stars that had died millions of years ago but we can still see them. I also saw Nova stars and these are blue or white. What most impressed me, was the constellation of the butterfly and the Scorpio one. On the Butterfly constellation, you could not only see the wings of the butterfly, the body but also the antenas ! Victoria, I think I understand what you are saying. People like the Bhudist monks do feats like being warm in the middle of winter with hardly any clothes on, or stop their hearts at will without dying. On the whole, the Oriental civilizations have discovered what man is capable of doing with their bodies. For instance the ancient marcial arts of Karate, Yudo, Kung Fu, Ju Jitsu (to name a few) have come from the Orient. These disciplines were developed to fight without weapons because they could not afford them against powerful armies that had them. I think that is really remarkable ! Also, all known religions like Budhism, Christianism, Judeism, Mahomatism (otherwise known as Islam) have all come from the East. So we can say that the East, has got more understanding of the other subtle unworldliness, that we don't have. We have imported them and simply copied them and have tried to translate these teachings into our lives. Whilst the Westerners tend to be concerned with what is practicable, expedient or convenient, rather than with ideals.
Hi Maria and Robert,
a nice post Maria ...makes me want to go to the observatory, when they have one of those special star gazing nights!
Yes, on the monks stopping their hearts, 'apparently' .. I believe it is through very deep levels of meditation and the breathing slows down to almost imperceptible. They are still alive but not even a doctor can at times tell.
Anyone that does any meditation can understand this, as you can see how it works in oneself.
And on the martial arts, it is all to do with the power of attention .. that is really the same as meditation. That is how they can chop through wood or whatever, seemingly with using only a hand. It is all in the power of the mind, it directs the force of conciousness along the line of attention.
It is said that is why ordinary people do not just have this power as they would use it for their own selfish ends.
Only 'purified' beings like Buddha and Jesus have some access to it.
So in relation to say karate masters which seem impressive to us, they have a long way to go to be able to use 'consciousness' in the same way as spiritual masters.
And saying that a true Holy Man does not use his powers to impress, like these sadhus who let themselves be buried 'alive'. Using powers that may come along on the path to spiritual unfoldment, only diverts one from the main goal.
Yes, we westerners want to know it all, but also have it all on our terms, it is difficult to blend the two.
Hi Victoria and Maria
Very interesting. Have they ever done scientific tests on such people? The point being, that however many dimensions a man may claim to inhabit, if he produces physical effects in this world then that ought to be measurable with machines, e.g. a heart monitor would tell us if he'd really stopped his heart beating.
Another thing is, if one starves one's body of oxygen then one will start to hallucinate. Could this explain some of the visions people claim to see?
On the other hand, is there a preponderance of high altitude dwellers among these people? Their DNA might be different. I once saw a programme about a teenage girl with a special gene which allowed her to run for miles without even getting out of breath. I think they were trying to use her DNA to help people with sickle cell anaemia.
I remember once seeing an account of a man who underwent a mystic trance, and afterwards claimed that during his trance he knew all the secrets of the universe. But when they asked him what he found out, he couldn't remember a blessed thing.
I think all this stuff is interesting, but I would hope that if there are other dimensions, they can be related to our own dimension in a logical manner. It would be horrid to think that Nature is irrational.
Actually... do you remember that case from the Heir Hunters programme where Hoopers worked on where the person being investigated had suffered a blow to his head and when he regained his conscious quite unexplainably, he was able to play the piano in a remarkable way, when in real life he had never been taught to play, after that blow to his head, his whole persona changed and he became quite wealthy.
Then, there are the people from Peru who live way up high in the mountains. Scientists have discovered that their hearts are larger than normal in order to be able to live comfortable in such high altitudes.
Or the children who dive for oysters, they can stay longer deep underwater than most people, longer than ten minutes and because they have to go so deep down in the water, their eyes are much better than ours and are able to see accurately in pitch dark conditions. There is a lot of things we do not know or understand about nature.
I am sure Robert that many 'visions' that people see are hallucinations .. whether from lack of oxygen, drugs or just the mind playing tricks. The mind is very complex and has many layers, and people experience all kind of things visions etc .. because it is what they are looking for either knowingly or unknowingly and is certainly not real.
On the lack of oxygen .. when I was still flying they did tests on pilots in a decompression, when the lack of oxygen was very apparent to one watching, the pilots actually started to think things were better and they were in control of the situation. In our training you put your own oxygen mask on first .. no1 priority, otherwise you will be of no use to help others.
And I'm not too sure about mystic trances either .. I think people may really just be lost somewhere in their mind, hallucinating. Real Holy men are very aware and alert, with no thoughts going on inside, they see clearly .. everything with no distortions from the mind.
This is the meaning of 'Be Still and Know That I Am God'.
Maria, could that person with the blow to his head, play the piano before? Did he just improve with the cobwebs knocked off?
We have all heard about child prodigies especially in music and mathematics, and how it is often thought about in terms of reincarnation. To me it seems a very natural and logical explanation.
When I hear people who claim psychic powers speaking about it, there seem to be two different attitudes - on one hand there seems to be an emphasis on relaxation and passivity, but on the other hand will power is sometimes claimed to be important. It's all a bit confusing.
Victoria,
In answer to your question about the man who had a blow to his head, no, he didn't know how to play the piano at all before the blow. This is the remarkable and strange thing. Normally, if anyone gets a blow to their heads like that one, people could end up with a serious mental disability but in this case, he became a savant, which is a condition that allows the brain to channel itself just on certain areas, in which the individual can excell. In this case, he could play the piano like a professional and also he master several languages at ease. This allowed him to enter into polite society. He even changed his real name adopting a made up German aristocratic title to mingle amongst them. His real family were aware of his change of personality they were all from modest working class roots. They lost touch with him when he entered into this other more sophisticated society, so when he died, his real family were not aware he had died. To the genealogists he posed a difficult case, as very quickly they found out that he was using a made up title and not his real name, so the challenge was to find out who he was, in real life. Hooper's persevered in their search to establish his real identity, ending up with this remarkable story.
Hi Victoria & Robert
Robert, yes, its a little puzzling but it works ! Once I saw a T.V. programme about a policeman in the U.S. who had to work with violent murders, drive by shootings, domestic violence in which he had to go late at night to seedy places where the police had been called; not knowing whether the situation was one where he would come alive from it. Most of his colleagues had retired early due to stress of the incredible pressure they were under but he kept working. The film makers soon found out that this policeman's secret for his legendary calmness was that he actually went for meditation classes every single day at a Budhist temple. So being calm, actually allowed him to do well, not to panic, to think straight without colouring your thoughts with imaginary fears and that was the big difference. He could focus his mind much better in the task than the others who had retired early. The meditation helped his mind wipe out all the unpleasantness he endured during the day, to start the next, with a clean slate.
Hi Maria and Robert,
I think all three of those come into the equation Robert, a calm neutral state but with a strong willed determination, relating to keeping the neutral and calm state (as Maria mentioned). The 'willpower' should in no way be ego centered.
This of course is for the aim of perfect selfless actions as in 'Thy will, and not my will'
I for one fall far short of such an ideal.
Maria, yes that is a truly remarkable story. I am vaguely remembering something similar I saw on tv not that long ago about a man .. think he was found wandering on a beach .. and had amnesia. They did not know who he was nor did he, he could play the piano excellently as well.
Not sure of the outcome of the story .. if it was a set up or not.
This is not the same man as your story?
Hi Maria and Victoria
Well, this is one of the problems I have with religions, for the saying "not my will but Thy will" seems to me to be not so much an ideal, as a cop-out. I find the idea of surrendering my will to someone else so deeply unappealing, I'd rather be dead.
But I thought the kind of thing we were discussing here was impersonal cosmic forces, which the so-called sages or saints or shamans or whatever you want to call them have purportedly found a way to influence.
Victoria, you mentioned the law of karma (reap what you sow)? How does that work, exactly?
Hi Victoria & Robert
Well, reap what you sow. If you throw stones to your neighbours windows and break them, there will be consequences: you suffer from your own actions.
Victoria it's not the same case but I know which one you mean. That one was sorted out by the social services who first put him in one of their hostels where the young man refused to utter a word, he would only draw a piano so the social services who cared for him took him where they had a real piano and the boy started to play really well. His identity was a mystery but the social services persevered, one of them noticed that the tag of his jacket had a make that was foreign: German. more investigation shed light into the mystery man, the German social services were contacted and sure enough, someone with his description had been missing for the same length of time, the photos were matched and the young man was reunited with his parents back in Germany. He had stowed in a ship from Germany to Britain.
Hi Maria and Victoria
Yes, but I was looking for concrete examples as regards reincarnation.
For example, suppose someone is born blind. Does that mean that the blind person is paying the price for something he's done in a previous existence? And then, suppose there is just one surgeon in the world who can operate on him and give him sight, and he does. Does that mean that the blind person's punishment has now been worked off? And suppose on the morning of the operation the surgeon escapes being knocked down by a car by a hairsbreadth. How does karma get involved in that?
Hi Robert and Maria,
'Thy will" is certainly not a cop out in spiritual terms .. it is foregoing ones own desires completely. In general, whatever act that we might do and think as totally selfless, on examination it will more than likely have some selfish aspect to it.
And as you so rightly say Robert, that you find it deeply unappealing to surrender 'your will' to someone else .. we all feel this way, simply because we believe that we are this body and the doer of all our actions.
None of this matters of course .. all we need to do is live by the rules of society and act in a way that we feel is right.
It is only if one was seeking the truth of who we are and the meaning of this existance, that you would need to follow a different path laid out by the ancients, and the inner teachings of the scriptures.
We can read things in books etc and they can make sense, ring true, or we can argue the logic, it is all only information though, unless it can be made true by experience in oneself.
The Law of Karma, apparently is very precise and without any bias, it is exactly as Maria said, reap what you sow, suffer or enjoy the consequences of every action.
"Every man is born in the world fashioned by himself"
"He who does good will be born as good, he who does evil will be born as evil; he becomes holy by holy deeds, evil by evil"
Basically whatever we do now and however we treat others, is (ourselves) creating our future for this and our next embodiment.
All thoughts, words and deeds .. nothing slips by unnoticed.
Your example of the blind man and the surgeon, is indeed karma at work .. anything we say is only guessing at the whys. But for sure the man is blind for a reason, in spiritual terms, nothing happens by chance. It may be something he has done or a lesson to be learned, but there is no harsh 'God' out there delivering punishment. We do everything to ourselves.
The whole scheme of creation is perfect and is totally fair .. everything is how it should be. Even though with our eyes we seem to see many imperfections in so many aspects of it all.
"Heaven is spread on the face of the earth, but men do not see it".
Hi Victoria
I hope you're recovering.
I don't really understand this about lessons being learned etc. Suppose Mr Smith is very evil, killing 1000 people for money or power. Let us suppose that he is told that he will have to suffer the terrible consequences in another life.
"You mean I'll be going to hell?" asks Mr Smith.
"No, you'll be reborn as Mr Jones," you answer.
"And I'll remember all the things I did in this life?" he asks.
"No," you reply. "You won't remember a thing. You'll have different parents, different experiences, different interests, different abilities..."
"Oh good," says Smith. "I don't mind Jones paying."
And he goes off and kills a thousand more.
Hi Robert and Maria,
thank you Robert, I am much recovered .. my face looks almost normal again, scabs gone and my foot that went over due to the uneven road is on the mend. I can walk without pain and the swelling and bruising is going.
May have to wait another week or so though, before I can start running again, which I enjoy to stay fit.
I think it is more in the intervening stages after death and before rebirth .. that one realises the consequences of ones actions, and can understand more of the purpose of life. When they say 'his whole life flashed before him' .. that is apparently something of what it is like. You see every single thing played out and it's ramifications .. you understand it all.
It is not some 'God' out there dishing up punishment, it is really like a part of yourself knowing what needs to be done for ones own evolution or unfoldment.
When we are born again, after a very short period though 'the curtain drops' as they say, and we forget what went on 'behind the stage of life'. This is done for probably many reasons, also as we could not cope with knowing all of our past history.
"All The World's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and their entrances,
And one man in his time plays many parts"
William Shakespeare .. it is thought that he knew a thing or two about these things, as a lot of his words point to spiritual truths.
There is so much in all of these things, but when you take a small bit out and talk about it, it can seem strange and we find many points to disagree on.
But when studied on a whole and in a systematic way, and things are seen through scriptures .. and the scriptures are seen in a whole new light, not the dogmatic way they are seen by us normally. No true authentic teaching, or holy man, say Buddha, Jesus or Krishna are out of alignment .. the essence of their teachings is the same.
'Mr Smith' going off to kill a thousand more because 'Mr Jones' is paying. Eventually the pain and suffering to him Smith/Jones becomes too much and he looks for another way back. This apparently has happened to us all, and is the story of the prodigal son.
Hi,
Just thought Id relate one in particular of my "Alien" experiences.
It was way back in 1977,I remember it as if was yesterday.....twas a very good year 77-for alien landings sightings ,cattle mutilation, crop circles etc.Anyway I can tell you are all waiting with baited breath to hear about my very very exciting and mysterious experience,so ill cut out the introductories and get right to the heart of the story regarding this bizarre event.....Im not the kind of guy who tries to stretch the story out or use 2 words when indeed 1 will do..oh no! short and sweet-right to the point is my motto! I hate it when people drag things out with long winded ,boring introductory statements when relating a story-dont you? TYes I bet you do...theres nothing worse in my opinion than that-Oh no!...Anyway I better get on and put my story in words, lest i m accused of not practising what i preach..ha ha ha...Are you ready? youve got your bags of popcorn and various sundries beside you? ok then ill begin...
Twas nback in august in the 1977 ,around 3 p.m in a small country hamlet in cornwall....I was absent-mindedly making my way along a tiny country toad, whistling,if i recall correctly,"nearer my god than thee" ( I truly love that tune...sigh)....when to my complete surprise, and horror too i might add,3 nuns leaped over a farm stile and confronted me (at that precise moment of course i wasnt aware that they were indeed- ALIENS!.. alien nuns is probabley a better description, but ill leave the exact description to the experts...
anyway to cut a long stiory short, for some reason i took the liberty to glance over my shoulder...and you can guess how i felt when i saw...behind me..not 20 feet away ..this gigantic space craft....registration number GF777 CFE.....now for some reason that registration number has stuck in my memory..i really cant explain that..but still....
I turned to face the 3 alien creatures ....the blonde one, with the curvey figure merely said "hiya" and with no further ado, leapt upon me and began ripping my clothes off of me....I struggled....god how i struggled! it was awful....but she (and later they) were much too strong...i had no choice but to succumb to their repeated and fenzied sexual attacks......the memory of that awful experience lingers still....the shame remains.....could i-or should i have resisted more-would it have been to any avail if i had?
Many a time have i wandered aimlessly along that country road since alone, and naked....all in the interests of research of course.........for 31 years i have continued this lonely vigil,hoping-nay praying that i might meet again these noble visitors from whatever far away interplanetary system they originated......they mystery remains..but the melody lingers on.
Dougie, I feel you're mixing up the law of karma, and kama sutra.
Robert,
Theres a difference between the two?
Karma,to me is just another product of too much thinking, and most likely too much drinking. Its a theory put out by people who are seeking to find reasons...reasons and meanings....well my opinion is that if there is a reason for life,or a reason for humans existing, the reasons are hidden from us...its no good cobbling together a patchwork of eastern thought and selecting a mish-mash of rules and regulations that supposedly follow us into this world and beyond.....and then blithely stating "this is it-this is how the system works"....if we say this is all gods master blueprint etc, isnt it pretty arrogant to suggest that us-we-mere humans have worked all this out by ourselves...weve looked into gods mind so to speak and read his thoughts.....Now if there is a god-which i very much doubt....the gulf between god and man intelligence wise would be somewhere prob of a ratio of 1 to 10,000,000,000,000,00,in short wed have no possible way of understanding his thought processes, let alone deciphering them.
for man To communicate with god would be similar to a grasshopper trying to enter into a conversation with a dolphin about digital cameras.
About the only way god could communicate directly with us would be through a lightning strike or earthquake.....we might still not know what he wanted ,but at least wed know he had something on his mind i guess.
hope this doesnt upset anyone....but in short i think its nonsense-karma that is.
Hi Dougie
Were you high on drugs that day ?
Listen there really has been something going on; near your neck of the woods comes the story of the Berwyn Mountain incident is a complex one, and it has been compiled from witnesses on what allegedly happened on and around January 1974. The story goes that it was just another winter's day in Bala and the nearby villages of Llandrillo and Llanderfel and UFO's was the last thing on villager's minds. But as night closed in, an event took place which was to change all that. Just after 8:30 p.m. locals were jolted by a large explosion, followed immediately by a terrible rumbling lasting four or five seconds. Furniture moved, buildings shook and animals voiced their terror. Terrified people shot to their windows or rushed into the streets to discover the cause of the disturbance. Many recall seeing huge lights streaking across the heavens and, looking toward the mountains, fingers of light projecting into the sky.
Hundreds of people telephoned the emergency services, believing a disaster had taken place, and one nurse drove up the mountain road with her two daughters to see what was going on. Once on the summit of the road, she halted astonished at what she saw. There, high on the barren mountain was a glowing sphere. It was too far from the road to be reached on foot and she could only watch the sphere pulsated, changing from red to yellow to white, while other white lights could be seen moving round it on the hillside. As the nurse drove back to her village, she was stopped by a group of police and soldiers who forcefully ordered her off the mountain, saying the road was being cordoned off and she should not, under any circumstances, divulge what she had seen.
Official reaction was quick - suspiciously quick, some said with police and military arriving within minutes, turning away other curious villagers from the mountain roads. In the following days, a large military presence appeared in the area. Roads remain closed and farmers complained they were forbidden to tending their flock. Clearly, something was being sought or why else would military helicopters be criss-crossing the area and strangers combing the mountainsides ? Even more suspicious was the group of dark-suited officials who arrived in the area, asking questions about events on the mountain. The incident attracted T.V. and radio coverage and The Times, Guardian and the Welsh regional and local press carried detailed reports, but the authorities refused to acknowledge that anything out of the ordinary had taken place. Meteorites and earth tremors were all suggested as being the cause, but what could possibly explain the glowing sphere seen by the nurse ? and the beams of light seen on the mountain ? They were quickly dismissed as the villagers imagination, shooting stars, or even as people out poaching hares but such natural phenomena were also unlikely to lead to the area being closed off by the army.
Maria,
Who is kidding who?
I reckon the reporter who wrote (invented) that load of tosh was definitely high on something.
Lets be honest maria the welsh aint exactly the brightest bulbs in the box to begin with. Mystery government officials? military helicopters?glowing spheres?Thats what spending too much time alone with sheep does to them hill farmers .....I remember some years back the police being inundated up here with phone calls...why? because there was a heavy snowfall for a couple of hours.....i wouldnt believe a welshman if he told me the sky was blue.
having said that maria the ole magic mushrooms (or shrooms as locals call them) must be in full bloom right now in bala area..i hope you havent been ingesting any.i know life in these rural (backward) areas can be rather boring at times but even so....
A guy poaching hares was mistaken for an alien spacecraft?(or other way round?,both are equally ridicolus notions)
next thing we will hear of is reports of yetis hiding in chapel attics drinking moonshine whisky, and singing "abide with me"!
Hi dougie,
my train of thought was the same as Maria's .. were you high on drugs back on that day in 1977 ..
I saw your long post and thought this will be good, went to get a coffee, to help enjoy it even more.
Well what can I say, but very amusing, I was hoping for some true alien encounter!
I am happy to be finished talking about karma and the like, aliens are just a much more friendly subject ..
But one last word, I fully understand and appreciate everything that you have said on the subject, nothing you have said upsets me at all. I only wish I could express better what I really know is true. It really is not theory .. these things can be known by people actually living (and not on drugs). But it is not for most of us, 'the truth really is stranger than fiction'.
So, we are over the karma subject now. So any more true alien encounters .. even if they are related to the kama sutra, as Robert has pointed out, we could make an exception in your case?
Maria, your story sounded really good, is it true, do you think, or made up by reporters as dougie implied?
Welsh people are good at singing, is this true, known for their good voices?
Victoria,
As maria will tell you, this poart of wales is in an earthquake zone....there was an earthquake on that particular night....it seems some of the details regarding a plane crash in that area some years later have been thrown intro the mix also...as is usual in these reports -the headlines look alluring-but the facts beneath the head;lines get in the way of a good story ....but the ufologists wont let a small issue such as truth get in the way.
heres a link...ill write it out cos u cant post links here...well i dont seem to be able to anyhow.
MAGONIA Monthly Supplement No.13
maybe if u type that in and search you will get the same article as ive got front of me....but cant guarrantee it.
regards
Hi Victoria
Well, there is a lot of low flying military airplanes in our area, perhaps they were testing something secret with a weapon and the manoeubre went wrong and whatever it was crashed. Always possible. Recently, they have released the UFO records from the Ministry of Defense at the national archives website.
The report says that there was an earthquake, earthquakes do happen around here too. It may have been meteorites. A few days ago we had a shower of meteorites at midnight It was awesome !
Victoria, there is more on this story. Dougie, thank you for the article but...
I do not believe in alliens coming to earth simply because it would take a few light years to reach our planet with our living conditions, so logically, they would not arrive here alive.
Something did happen that day in Bala. A geological observatory in Scotland recorded a tremor and their records revealed that a team of investigators was dispatched to the area within days of the event. This is almost certainly the source of rumours of 'officials' who stayed in local hotels, questioning villagers. Six British Geological Survey interviewers conducted hundreds of detailed door-to-door inquiries working to set a questionnaire and visiting people in villages and isolated farm houses.
Besides the strange lights on the mountain, reports describe at least four incandescent balls of light which streaked across the skies between 7:30 and 10 p.m.
a farmer Williams said: "I saw this object coming along the mountain, about the size of a bus really, white in the middle, it came across the mountatain and dipped. I thought it was going to crash" A dramatic description, but one for which there is a rational explanation, just as there is for all the other aerial phenomena seen that evening.
Records held by the Astronomy Department of Leicester University show that a number of ooutstanding bolide meteors were seen that night over the U.K. coinciding witht he times given by witnesses in Wales. The first was 7;25 p.m. followed by others at 8:15, 8:30 and 9:55. Bolide meteors are considerably brighter and longer lived than ordinary 'shooting stars' and to anyone who is not familiar with them they appear to be dramatic, low flying aerial phenomena. Bolides can also appear to be very low in the sky and often trail 'sparks' of blue and green.
At exactly 8:38 p.m. the Bala area was rocked by a huge explosion, closely followed by a deep rumbling. One witness recalled it as being "like a lorry running into a house" but all this does not explain the tremendous bang which accompanied the earth moving.
Hallo all
I was wondering if one of these meteors could have exploded in mid air?
Good evening everybody ...
dougie I typed that link in, and got 931 results!, mostly vitamins.
Maria, that shower of meteorites sounded like a wonderful sight to see. The 'Bolide' meteors that you mention that are dramatic and low flying with blue and green colours, they are possibly often mistaken for ufo's?
Robert, I don't know, but guessing you would have to think logically yes, because as they come in 'showers' some would be bound to collide with one another in space.
Victoria..sorry about the link....might have been them little green men again ....try this
http://www.users.waitrose.com/~magonia/ms13.htm
if that does not work i suggest you get in touch with jodrell bank to inform them that the 1st stage of that alien invasion is completed-they have allready taken over our computers and you fear stage 2 (a zyclon b attack ) is quite possibley imminent.....and please could they visit geraint williams(bala sheep farmer) ...and his border collie rex to make certain they havent been abducted...again.....(making certain that a welsh speaker is present ,which goes without saying)p.s remember what appened last time.
Victoria,
That is right. Some of these bolide meteors are often confused with UFOs. Other times, people report them as airplane crashes because of the colour lights.
Robert, that would be the implication, that one of these meteors exploded as it enter the earth but again, that does not explain the earth tremors. The report says that the Bala area was rocked by a huge explosion, closely followed by a deep rumbling. The explosion was heard only in the Bala area, but the tremor was felt as far away as Liverpool and Chester. Within hours, seismologists had determined that the explosion and tremor were caused by an earthquake of 4-5 on the Richter scale. Its epicentre was in the Bala area, the disturbance itself at a depth of 8kms or 5 miles. Here is the interesting bit: To cause a reading of that magnitude, a solid object crashing to Earth -meteorite- would have had to have weighed several hundred tons and would have left a massive crater. Therefore, unless something had crashed at the EXACT moment and in the EXACT location of a tremor, it is rather puzzling what it could be. The well known author Jenny Randles who has studied this particular phenomena for many years, had initially suggested it might have been a rare but scientifically acknowledged phenomenon known as an 'earthlight', a transient light form created by geophysical stresses.
Maria
this jenny randles is a well known ,fully paid up,card carrying ,member of the lunatic fringe community. She has been described as similar to santa claus at christmas-she always turns up whenever there is anything at all that remotely resembles a flashing light,or a report of a yeti patrolling the grounds of buckingham palace.
She is the "good michael" of ufology.....
What amazes me is the fact that these superior alien beings, thousands of years ,if not millions more advanced ,land on earth, and instead of just taking over, merely collect soil samples or suchlike,or on occasion fly their craft into mountains and conveniently dissapear.....considering the number of sattellite tracking stations etc in space, radar stations on earth ,early warning missile contraptions,no one ever picks them up..it needs the ,as usual in these cases, obligatory flashing neon lights, almighty tremors ,which conveniently coincide with natiural phenonmens such as earthquakes ,and of course the appearance of some neighbourhood gook who of course "saw it all" from his bedroom window .The usual nurse or doctor or ex policeman who gets stopped by swarms of military police or govt officials and told to keep his trap shut etc....then local people who had no knowledge of these events, upon reading about the "visitation" suddenly and miraculessly (sic) recall that, come to think of it,"yes i noticed it too,and whats more my dog went missing that night, never to be seen again" shades of alien animal abduction snatch squads ?
Dougie
I don't think that is true. I have never heard Jenny Randel saying anything about little green men crashing on earth. On the contrary, if you read her books she has always tried to find a racional and logical explanation for unusual phenomena like the one in Bala.
I don't think not even for a nano-second I have said anything of the sort or, of the kind. All I have done is to comment on an unusual event which might have involved a shower of meteorites and an earthquake at the same time. What is so controversial about that ? It happened. Period. I don't understand why you are so upset about it. I feel very insulted about that. All I need is for my enemies to look at your observations and conclude that Maria is seeing little green beings from Mars ! I don't know why you are doing this to me.
Hi Dougie
Maria believes there's a natural explanation for these phenomena.
On a general note, I think we have to be wary of invoking common sense, because so many things in nature defy common sense. For instance, in quantum mechanics, if I understand it correctly, an electron orbiting the nucleus of an atom can jump to an orbit further away from the nucleus or closer to the nucleus, without traversing the space in between! And in relativity theory, a man who leaves his planet and travels close to the speed of light, can return and find that his children have died of old age.
On the moon, where air resistance can be discounted, a piano and a feather dropped from the same height will both hit the ground at the same time.
All this is accepted by scientists, but it's not common sense i.e. it's not what you would call obvious.
Robert that is very interesting !
There have been experiments of the feather and the heavy object falling at the same time because in the absence of air resistance, all objects fall at the same speed.
Or someone travelling close to the speed of light and coming back to the planet to find that his children have died of old age. I find that fascinating and have no idea how that happens.
Hi Maria
It's because there is no absolute time which is "the right time." Rather our measurement of time is affected by how we are moving relative to other people. Because we are all living on planet earth and moving with very slow speeds relative to each other, we all inhabit the same time frame. Relativistic effects only become significant when dealing with extremely high speeds, or extremely strong gravitational fields.
Maria, robert,
The interstellar travel theory,i.e coming back and finding your children are 103 and you are only 42 for example is a theory yet to be proven, until it is (proven) it remains just that..like black holes in space ,what they do,is again a theory..a theory that has been formed by mathmathical calculations, nobodys ever seen a black hole,no one has ever travelled in space and returned younger than they set out,and finding their children 100 years older than themselves.....yet..its educated conjecture.
Its not the same ,anyhow,as these alien stories that crop yup at certain times....the script of these stories usually follow the same pattern, with the odd variation now and then..a little rational thought will show how transparent these tales are.....do aliens exist?most likely they do.....but what is the attraction of this shithole called planet earth?Any rational and intelligence "being" looking down on the manner in which humans act would soon have no other thought in their minds than getting the hell out of it.The only use i can think of for humans and our societies is as a blueprint to show the rest of the universe how NOT to do things.
Maria,
Im not doing ANYTHING to you....im not upset..geez.....if i didnt know you better id say you were beginning to resemble that gormless small minded mob that make up the casebook and jtr community.....
Your enemies?surely you dont take the idiots on casebook seriously? (if that is who you are refferring to?) its ok maria, ill say no more about Bala, ufos, geraint williams..or his dog rex....or quantum physics..or the welsh language......does anyone have a sense of humour any more? or is my sense ,or kind of humour too abrasive?.....i was gonna ask if any aliens had visited the blog, but in interests of diplomacy i wont....ill say no more...be good
right now scotty..this is dougie to ground control..thrust off is imminent......splashdown is due at 17..54 somewhere over the red sea.......aliens permitting of course............now where that bloody stareting handle?
bye
A parting comment or rather question Robert,on the time vs relativity thingummy jig.............does a clock measure time -or does it create it?
and a philosophical comment which i fink some chinese geezer made many many moons ago....er i shouldnt have said moons..it might aggravate somebody err...ill alter that to a long time ago i think...anyway..the saying or sentence was...
man says time passes
time says man passes
its not as profound as it sounds actually..in fact its not profound at all.
I think there is evidence that black holes do exist. These are masses of energy that have a really awesome powerful magnetic field which pull or attract other celestial bodies inside them, but no one knows what happens to the stars that apparently are gobbled up by the black holes. Astronomers can see them with powerful lenses and know where they are. Black holes are called that way, because there are no lights coming out from them, that is, as far as I understand it.
Hi Dougie
Well, a clock will measure time, but not Time - two clocks will give different readings depending upon their relative motions, accelerations, and the gravitational fields in which they operate.
It's true that no one has ever seen a black hole - after all, they're black. But if the scientists see a star doing something that it shouldn't be doing, then they can infer the existence of a nearby black hole. Black holes of course aren't the only super massive bodies in the universe, though they are the most extreme.
Robert,
Like when you go to airports and they have different time zones. I always find it quite strange, when Victoria tells us good-night but her night message appears in the morning for us, even though she is writing it at night. I suppose when we travel we either go forwards of backwards in time and I always find that fascinating.
Hi Maria
Well, not exactly the same. And fortunately we can't really go back in time, or some very strange things might happen!
Robert,
Don't you get the feeling when you are rewinding a film where the figures instead of going forward are going backwards like if in a way... time is being artificially being wound back where everything started ?
Hello All,
Robert when you mentioned going back in time and strange things happening, also Maria talking about films .. it reminded me about the film 'Time After Time'.
H.G. Wells races through time to catch Jack the Ripper .. strange indeed with 'Jack' escaping into our modern world and finding it to his liking because of the violence and fastness of it. Wells is the opposite in our modern world finding everything distasteful, except the emancipation of women.
I find films with 'time travel' quite interesting.
dougie, I understand your scepticism, it seems a better way to be than just being gullible or believing anything. But it seems to me that a balance between the two is the best way ...neither believing nor disbelieving, being open to the possibilities of anything, until something is proven or really seen for ones self.
As people and friends here we are all the same really, but appear different, with our diversity of opinions and thoughts about everything .. it just enriches the fabric of life.
Hi Maria and Victoria
Well, the trouble with going back into the past is that you could kill yourself when you were younger, or kill your father, or grandfather - you would end up with the most frightful paradoxes.
I used to like Dr Who when I was young, with its time travel theme. Indeed I myself experienced time travel into the past a week after the first episode, when the BBC decided to repeat the first episode before showing the second!
Just like groundhog day Robert ...
Hi Victoria
Very recently, I read that the decision to repeat episode 1 had something to do with the assassination of Kennedy. I can't remember the details now, but maybe the first episode was overshadowed by the news, so the BBC gave us "another chance to see" it - their phrase for a repeat.
