War, Religion and Art

Hi Robert,

That's so very funny ! My ribs are still moving up and down. Quite. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter for anyone who loses their legs if it was a " friendly " fire or not.
I didn't know you also had a surrealist humour !

Oh, I like most humour, Maria.

Some strange things happen in war - e.g. I read an account of the sinking of a British ship. It had been torpedoed and the crew had to abandon ship very quickly indeed. One of the survivors later recalled that before jumping over the side, he took off his clothes so that they wouldn't get wet.

Strange things indeed,I enjoy the black humour myself ,such as General Custers last reported words, moments before he marched himself and his men into total and utter oblivion at the battle of the little bighorn....They were,
"Hurrah lads,cmon,weve got them now!"
pitiful almost!

Dougie, that was really funny !
Yesterday, filling the car at the petrol station, there were two mechanics talking about Bush and the shoe incident. One said: ' If it had been me, I would have thrown my work boots with the steel toe-caps ! I think it has become fashionable to improve your shoe aim.
